Everyone! This is a brand new type of event—it is not like other ACI | V Houses events in the past. Rather, every one of us will be asking Geshe Michael for permission to receive the transmission. There is no location information on the Request for Transmission form, because everyone who is invited by Geshe Michael to receive the transmission will either be invited to attend at Dragonshead or invited to attend at a Branch Location. Geshe Michael is the only one who chooses—not us, in this case.

Regardless of whether you want to attend the live transmission in-person, or you already know you would prefer to join a Branch Location, you still need to fill out the Request for Transmission form. Geshe Michael will personally decide who attends the event in-person, so please be kind and patient as he reviews the requests starting June 16.

There are certain questions on the Request for Transmission form that will remain completely confidential between you and Geshe Michael. The personal request questions have been marked on the form itself so you will know when you can share openly and honestly.

Yes!  The transmission has equal power, whether you receive it at Branch Location or at Dragonshead. It will be transmitted live at the same time on the same day for everyone.

There are two: (1) you must complete all six Bridge to the Diamond Way courses prior to receiving the transmission in October. That means you either attended in-person or online during the event, or in person or online via a Catch-Up Course, or learned from someone who heard the teachings live online or in person; and (2) you must have completed all the homeworks. 

The good news is, you can fill out the Request for Transmission form immediately, and finish the requirements later. Remember, the date for filling out the Request for Transmission is June 15 (extensions are available). Check the website https://www.vhouses.org/request-for-transmission for any new instructions after June 15.

You must attend a Catch-Up Course or get the transmission from someone who was present during the classes you missed, before Oct. 7. The reason is, you have to receive a verbal transmission of the preparatory material from a live teacher to be fully prepared for the transmission in October. But please fill out the Request for Transmission form now, even before you take the necessary Catch-Up Courses.

A Catch-Up Course is a live teaching from someone who has attended the actual Bridge to the Diamond Way courses. In this way, the teaching is transmitted live from someone who was there in person or live online to a student who was not able to be present. Yes. You can take the appropriate Catch-Up Courses and complete your homeworks.

You can take a Catch-Up Course, either from a live teacher or via one of the many Catch-up Courses hosted by ACI | V Houses.

No. You must complete all the homework assignments from all courses, and receive the transmission for all the classes that were taught, either live when Geshe Michael taught them originally, or from someone who was present when Geshe Michael originally taught them. 

Yes. You must receive the transmission for every single one of the classes that were taught during the Bridge to the Diamond Way courses.

 We will put a deadline in place after the final Bridge to the Diamond Way course in Malaysia.

We don’t know yet! Geshe Michael has requested that we be kind and patient as he reviews all the request forms.

We will share Branch Locations as they are reviewed and approved by the ACI | V Houses team. However, we won’t know any Branch Locations until after decisions are made about in-person attendance at Dragonshead.

Yes. Small groups of 5-10 people are encouraged. If you anticipate a larger group, we encourage you to  find a bigger venue, such as a hotel or community center. Please note that ACI | V Houses will not be responsible for finding venues, or managing Branch Locations in any way. We will provide training so Branch Location organizers are informed of everything they will need to support the live transmission from Geshe Michael, but we will not be involved with the logistics or management of the Branch Locations.

We will have more information on this in July.

Not for this event. You are entering the Diamond Way, which requires a different way of receiving the teachings. There are also elements of the experience that require assistance from your peers. There will be value in attending the transmission in a community and there will be group rituals and activities to be shared that cannot be done alone.

There will be no recordings. This is live oral transmission; the value is transmitted by Geshe Michael live in real time. You don’t want to miss this opportunity! And note that, since it is a live transmission, it may occur at odd hours depending on your time zone. Please be prepared to set aside the entire time period October 7-12—any time of the day or night—so that you are ready.

Geshe Michael is giving a once-in-a-lifetime oral transmission. As of now, we do not have any arrangements for you to receive the transmission at another time.

In extremely special circumstances, we may consider alternatives to Branch Locations for receiving the live transmission from Geshe Michael. We will handle those special instances on a case-by-case basis for those with valid, documented health conditions.

Set aside enough money to pay for travel, lodging, and food for the October 7–12 time period. If you are traveling to another country, research and provide for the cost (and time) of any visa requirements for visiting another country.
