A Rare Opportunity to Receive Direct Transmission
For many years, students around the world have asked Geshe Michael Roach to offer a direct transmission of the Diamond Way teachings as he has personally experienced and practiced them.
This October, Geshe Michael will offer a special live transmission event based on a lifetime of study, retreat, practice, and direct experience.
At the center of this transmission is the living experience of emptiness — not only the technical understanding preserved in the ancient texts, but the personal journey of how to prepare for it, recognize it, and integrate it into your life.
As Geshe Michael explains in the video below, this transmission comes from decades of practicing and translating the deepest teachings of the Diamond Way tradition. This transmission is intended for sincere students who wish to deepen their practice and participate in the unfolding of the V Houses global community.

Help Us Understand Where Another Group May Be Needed
If you cannot find a Branch Location reasonably near you on the map, please let us know. We will explore options after we hear from you, and let you know what develops.
We would also like to hear from you if there are only a very small number of students in your area — four people or fewer — and you are unsure where your group is big enough to receive the Transmission.
Please note, however, that you will not be able to receive the Transmission individually from home. The Transmission is designed to be received together with other students, and we will do everything possible to make this happen for everyoneBy sharing your location and situation with us, you will help our production team identify areas where additional support may be needed and explore whether a suitable group solution can be arranged.
The live transmission will take place October 7–11, 2026 at Dragonshead, near Geshe Michael’s home, in Rimrock, Arizona.
Because the physical venue only holds a limited number of people, V Houses branches around the world will organize local gathering locations where students can participate together.
These branch locations will allow sincere students everywhere to receive the teachings, practice together, and participate in the transmission experience as a global community, direct from Geshe Michael.
It will be a requirement that you attend at one of the locations around the world; no individual participation online will happen this time. More information of locations will be coming soon!

FAQ—Diamond Way Transmission,
Oct 7-11, 2026, live from Dragonshead
Welcome to the Diamond Way, a wonderful world of constantly changing and developing occurrences! The requirements for receiving the Diamond Way transmission have changed. We summarize them below.
Geshe Michael has reviewed all of the many thousands of Requests for Transmission he received. He has made his decisions about who will attend where, and V Houses will be sending everyone the appropriate invitation around August 7. Watch your email!
The Diamond Way Transmission will come directly from Geshe Michael, and he will transmit it live from Dragonshead at the same time on the same day to everyone in the world.
The transmission has equal power, whether you receive it at a Branch Location or at Dragonshead. It will be transmitted live at the same time on the same day for everyone.
There is only one teacher for all of us receiving the Diamond Way Transmission in October, and that is Geshe Michael Roach. We invite all teachers who may be attending the transmission to relax, allow Branch Location Hosts do the work, as they will be guided by Geshe Michael.
There will be no announcements about the Diamond Way Transmission on social media, and we ask participants not to publish anything on social media about it, either now, during the transmission, or later. This is a very special, very private, experience that is not suitable for posting.
After the Diamond Way Transmission, Geshe Michael has plans for several additional years of teaching new Diamond Way material. It will be unlike anything ever taught on earth before, and you're invited!
Requirements (Requirements have changed)

You must have attended, onsite or online, all Geshe Michael's classes and meditations at Bridge to the Diamond Way 6 (BDW 6) in Malaysia (July 7–12)
If you missed any of these BDW 6 classes either from Geshe Michael or the Catch-Up Course teachers, you can take them from someone who attended them in Malaysia (either live onsite or online, or at an official rebroadcast held during the Malaysia event). This can be done either live or online now.
To summarize—to qualify for the Diamond Way Transmission in October; you have these options:
Attended all BDW 1-5 events, either live, online, or by receiving a transmission from someone who was there; or
Done Catch-Up Courses for BDW 1-5; or
Attended Catch-Up Courses for BDW 6 in Malaysia (this counts instead of BDW 1-5 above); or
Plan to take Catch-Up Courses for BDW 6 or get a transmission from someone who was there before October.
Good news! Homeworks from BDW 1-5 are no longer required. But if you did them, you will have an extra-strong preparation for the Diamond Way Transmission in October, and we recommend it.
There will be no homework for BDW 6.

Catch-up Courses

A Catch-Up Course is a live teaching from someone who has attended the actual Bridge to the Diamond Way course. In this way, the teaching is transmitted live from someone who was there in person or live online to a student who was not able to be present. Yes. You can take the appropriate Catch-Up Courses from BDW 6 from someone who was there.

You can take the Catch-Up Courses for BDW 6, either from someone who attended in person, or via one of the Catch-up Courses hosted by V Houses. That is sufficient to receive the Diamond Way Transmission in October. This can be done in person or online.

No, that requirement has been changed. You need only receive the transmission for the classes that were taught during Bridge to the Diamond Way 6 by Geshe Michael (including his meditations) and the other Catch-Up Course teachers in Malaysia.

No, that is no longer necessary. But completing the homeworks will help you get a deeper grounding in the Diamond Way preparation material.

However, reviewing this content will put you in a better position to get the maximum benefit from the October Diamond Way Transmission, even if these courses are no longer officially required. Yes. However, late applicants will only be eligible for Branch Location attendance (not Dragonshead). There may be additional limitations on late requests.

Yes. Small groups of 5-10 people are encouraged. If you anticipate a larger group, we encourage you to find a bigger venue, such as a hotel or community center. Please note that V Houses will not be responsible for finding venues, or managing Branch Locations in any way. We will provide training so Branch Location organizers are informed of everything they need to support the live transmission from Geshe Michael, but we will not be involved with the logistics or management of the Branch Locations.

Not for this event. You are entering the Diamond Way, which requires a different way of receiving the teachings. There are also elements of the experience that require assistance from your peers. There will be value in attending the transmission in a community and there will be group rituals and activities to be shared that cannot be done alone.
Live Transmission, No Recordings

There will be no recordings. This is live oral transmission; the value is transmitted by Geshe Michael live in real time. You don’t want to miss this opportunity! And note that, since it is a live transmission, it may occur at odd hours depending on your time zone. Please be prepared to set aside the entire time period October 7-11—any time of the day or night—so that you are ready.

Geshe Michael is giving a once-in-a-lifetime oral transmission. As of now, we do not have any arrangements for you to receive the transmission at another time. We not are planning any rebroadcasts.

In extremely special circumstances, we may consider alternatives to Branch Locations for receiving the live transmission from Geshe Michael. We will handle those special instances on a case-by-case basis for those with valid, documented health conditions. Check the V Houses website for a form to fill out.
Costs

There will be costs related to attending at Dragonshead or a Branch Location, in order to cover the costs of the venue, supplies, etc.
There will also be a modest production fee to help defray the costs of the production.
For those who cannot afford the cost of attending a Branch Location or the production fee, help and support will be available.

Set aside enough money to pay for travel, lodging, and food for the October 7–11 time period. If you are traveling to another country, research and provide for the cost (and time) of any visa requirements for visiting another country.

Action Steps:
1) Check your email for your invitation to receive the Diamond Way Transmission. Invitations will be sent out around August 7.
2) Choose Your Branch Location August 15-20 on the V Houses website: https://www.vhouses.org/request-for-transmission.
3) Plant the seeds to create your budget, take time off from work/family obligations, make your travel plans, and apply for visas as may be necessary, by helping other people get these things now!
4) Make arrangements to take five days off from all work and family obligations, October 7-11, 2026, to receive this once-in-a-lifetime Diamond Way Transmission from Geshe Michael. Remember, this will not be a normal event that you can drop into or out of, or watch recordings later. You want to be live with Geshe Michael for the entire transmission.
Become a V Houses Branch Organizer
To make this transmission available around the world, V Houses is inviting experienced and committed students to organize local branch gathering spaces.
As a branch organizer, you may help:
Host a local viewing and practice location with small or large groups
Coordinate students in your city or region or country
Support participants during the transmission event, linking back to the event live at Dragonshead and offering the full transmission
If you feel inspired to help organize a branch location, please complete the organizer application below. We will be providing all the training necessary to host an event, what is needed for the transmission as well as guidance on how to organize the community. These events will not be run or hosted by V Houses teachers; Geshe Michael stressed that he is the only one who will give this transmission, and he will give it on the same day at the same time to everyone. There will be no other teachers in this transmission event: everyone will receive the transmission direct from him.
